Our WAAS middle school students made such an impression this year in the NC Law Day Essay Competition that we swept all three places! Although we don’t know yet which student this year earned which place, we do know that WAAS students earned First, Second and Third. Typically, there is only a First and Second Place winner each year, but, because the judges were so impressed with our students’ work, they created a Third Place. There will be a reception in Raleigh, NC in May for Mrs. Puritis and these three students. Congratulations!

Historically, WAAS has had winners in this writing contest since we began participating the past four years.
