Our Explorations Teacher – Rebecca Dee
Ms. Dee first came to Wilmington to pursue a degree in Art History from UNCW. After receiving her Bachelors in 2013, she began her career in education at the John’s Hopkins Kennedy Krieger Institute in her hometown of Baltimore, MD. She moved back to Wilmington and continued in education as an assistant teacher at Murray Middle School in New Hanover County. Ms. Dee completed her Teaching Residency through East Carolina University to become a licensed Special Education Teacher in 2021. Ms. Dee’s passion for the arts was inspired by a community college professor while dual enrolled in high school. Her preferred media include watercolor, ink wash, and linocut printmaking. She also enjoys traveling, camping, and being out on the water.
