Our Office Manager- Mrs. Christine Ashley
After working for a local public charter school for the past four years, I am so excited to join WAAS as your new office manager and look forward to meeting each and every one of you. Interacting with students, families, and teachers is what makes me happy to come to work! I graduated from Sarah Lawrence College in Bronxville, NY, with a B.A. in Independent Studies, concentrating in music, theatre, and literature. After working for several years in Washington, D.C., and Northern Virginia, in nonprofit management and member advocacy, I returned home to Southeastern North Carolina, with my husband, David, to start our family. Changing careers to work in an educational setting was a natural progression from spending so much time volunteering in my sons’ schools – where I gained a passion for working with children and supporting educators! Outside of work, my favorite thing to do is to enjoy time with my family – especially with my teenagers, Chase and Owen. You can also find me taking the world’s sweetest Jack Russell Terrier, Ruby, for long walks, reading, meeting friends for coffee, and planning my next trip to the mountains.
