Wilmington Academy of Arts & Sciences (WAAS), a 4th – 8th grade private school, is seeking a full-time IT Facilitator & Technician. WAAS is looking for a skilled IT Facilitator & Technician who will maintain our information technology systems including but not limited to school-wide software, intranets, external networks, staff, and student devices (i.e. MacBook Air’s, Smart TV’s, Windows based machines)

The ideal candidate will perform both technical and administrative tasks to ensure functionality and efficiency of computer systems, intranets, external networks, and school owned devices. In addition, the optimal candidate will maintain databases, create, and update school forms, and provide other office management support as needed, in partnership with our Office Manager and Head of School.

Candidate should have familiarity with Active Directory based software for account management, common office peripherals, network security and firewall appliances, Office365 suite, Google Suite, structured cabling, network hardware such as switches, servers, routers, modems, etc., MacBook Air hardware repair knowledge, WordPress, and Remote Desktop applications.

Previous experience in a K-12 school or educational setting is a plus, specifically in a Technical Coordinator, System (Junior) Administrator, or Help Desk Support II+ role.


  • Bachelor’s Degree is preferred, but not required
  • At least four years of relevant experience
  • Positively engages with students and staff to support technology needs and other duties as assigned
  • Certifications are desirable (A+, Network+, Security+, CCST, etc.)
  • Salary will be discussed based on applicant’s experience, education and certifications
