Congratulations to our Varsity Science Olympiad Team who placed 8th in the State Championship this past Saturday in Raleigh! The tournament features over 45 incredibly competitive teams from across North Carolina, as well as many competitive individual entries. The team placed in the Top 10 in the state in ten events, including winning the individual State Championship in two events! Events that placed in the Top 10 in the state are highlighted below.

WAAS once again finished as the top team from Southeastern North Carolina in the event. 

This team was dedicated and focused all year, and put in additional work during lunch & recess over the past month to prepare for the state tournament. We are so proud of the students, and coaches for another excellent season. Go Owls!
