Hello WAAS Families!
Happily, the faculty and I are preparing for the students’ arrival on Monday and Tuesday of next week. We can’t wait to have all of our 2016-2017 students and their families with us.
We are pleased that Senora Marsh is now working full time. When she is not teaching and planning, she will be working at the front office to assist with clerical and admissions duties. Soon, Senora Marsh will be sending you important forms to complete. Please return to Senora Marsh, your child’s first period teacher or me by the first day of school as this information helps us to prepare and protect your child.
Please see the attachment (WAAS Flyer) inviting you to a seminar presented by a former parent and guest speaker, Nancy Kotz from Successful Parenting Institute. She will speak to WAAS parents on Sept. 2 from 8:00-9:30 in our cafeteria. Nancy’s presentations are informative, realistic, relevant and entertaining. Attending this seminar is time well spent! Bring your spouse and a friend!

It is time to begin ordering lunch from myhotlunchbox.com. In order to be sensitive to our vendors’ preparation time, we are asking that all orders be placed at least 48 hours in advance so that they can pull the reports and prepare in a timely manner. Thank you!
We have a surplus of recycled WAAS tshirts and jackets that will be on sale at discounted prices at our Back to School Open House on Thursday evening 5:00-6:00 pm. Tshirts are $2.00 a piece and sweatshirts are $5.00. These items will be sold on a first come first serve basis. Please see Senora Marsh at the Reception Desk during Open House.
There is no formal program on Thursday evening as this is a time for the students to put their materials in their lockers, get their schedule and find their classrooms. Our formal Curriculum Night is August 30 at 7:00.
