Hello WAAS Families and Students!
Please remember that Iowa Assessments will be given Monday through Friday of next week, April 4-7 8:00-10:00 am. We will be measuring Science and Social Studies skills, and that is why we are testing on Thursday. This is new for our students. Please explain/stress to them that the only preparation that is needed is a good breakfast, a good night’s rest, an open mind and a good attitude. Also, please stress that they are prepared for the assessments every day in every class. I am asking for community and parent volunteers to proctor during the Iowa Assessments.
Mr. Adams will provide training and practice for bubbling for the students in his class since this might be the first time students have taken a test of this kind.
I will design a schedule so that students will meet with their teachers at least for the majority of the week. I will send the schedule to them via email prior to the test.
Please encourage the students to arrive promptly on these days as we will be starting at 8:00.
