Congratulations to all of our WAAS competitors in the 38th Annual Southeastern Regional Mathematics Contest on Thursday in Jacksonville, NC. This competition is a high school level competition, with competition categories of Math 1, Math 2, and Math 3.

WAAS took first place as a team in the Math 3 competition! Atiksh Bhan took 1st place, and Edward Burton took 3rd Place for Math 3.The Math 3 team took 2nd in the Math Sprints competition as well. Tilghman Reiss took 6th place, and Miles Fitzgerald took 10th place for Math 2. Bentley Burton took 1st, Harrison Lacy took 2nd, and Blake Torok took 4th Place for Math 1. The Math 1 team also took 3rd place in the Math Sprints competition. Mr. Simon was awarded the Math 3 Coach of the Year. A great day was had by all!

Atiksh, Bentley, Harrison, Blake, and Edward advance to the State competition in Fayetteville, NC on April 25th. Go Owls!
