Our Guidance Counselor – Mrs. Stephanie Goodwin
My name is Stephanie Goodwin, and I am very excited to become a part of WAAS as your school counselor. I grew up in a rural community outside of Frankfort, Indiana, and played three sports throughout high school (volleyball, basketball, and softball). I earned two degrees from Purdue University in 1998, a BS in Management with a minor in Human Resources and a BA in Psychology. I earned an MA in Counseling Psychology, School track, from Ball State University in 2004.
I have worked as a school counselor at two high schools when I lived in Indiana and as a school counselor at Malpass Corner Elementary in Pender County and at Sunset Park Elementary in NHCS.
While living in Lafayette, Indiana and working as a high school counselor, I met and married my husband, Dan. We married in July 2008 and moved to Wilmington later that year. We have 3 children, Sophie (5th grade), Daxton (2nd grade), and Ella (1st grade). They all play soccer and lacrosse, Dax also does karate, and Ella also plays basketball. I like to work out & exercise, play board games, watch my children play sports, and I love to read (although I don’t get to do that as much as I’d like because we are a very active and busy family!).
I look forward to meeting all of you and getting to know you!
