Dear WAAS families,

Recently the 4th and 5th graders participated in a community project organized by the Cameron Art Museum. Participants were asked to reflect on their experiences this past year as the Pandemic has been omnipresent.
They were encouraged to write about those experiences and illustrate them on fabric squares that would be sewn together into community quilts, weaving all the stories into single tapestries.
The quilts will be on display in April. Attached are details.
Please view our students’ contributions. I believe our children are very resilient, but I find it profoundly moving to see what they have missed and what they have experienced.
