Hello WAAS Families!

What a great week this has been! The teachers and I were glad to be reunited with our students on Monday morning.
Tomorrow, December 2 is our First Friday.  The Student Leadership Team will be selling breakfast foods and  beverages tomorrow for students and parents from 7:40-8:00.  Afterwards, in the cafeteria,  Dr. Condon will give a presentation on his proposal for the Young Scientist Academy.  We hope to see you there!
We hope that you will visit the Festival of Trees at the NC Aquarium, especially since all of our students decorated a tree using their Chihulyornaments. Our “Tree of Hope” is in honor of those who have battled cancer.
The halls at WAAS are decorated with many of the students’ work.  PLEASE come in to enjoy their work.  Like most, you will  be in awe of their talent, creativity and attention to detail.
Please mark February 13, 2017 at 7:00 pm  on your calendar as we are planning a Talent Show featuring our students. More information will be sent to you later, but we hope that the students will seriously consider participating. We have many talented students!
A message from our 4th/5th Grade Students….
  Dear WAAS Families and Students,

Can you please help us in our donation towards Toys for Tots? Our class is  collecting  toys to give to different children in the community so they have a great Christmas. Our goal is to get 100 toys for Toys for Tots.  We need you to drop off gently used, new or old toys for ages 1-19.  You can drop the toys off at the front office between 7:40 AM- 3:00 PM. Please drop them off before December 16.  Please help us in our journey.

I hope to see you tomorrow morning!

I wish you a great week end.
