Hello WAAS Families!

Congratulations to Mr. Simon and our MathCounts team who placed 14th in the State at Friday’s State MathCounts competition. Farhan Sanukri, Max Wang, Sahil Patel and Ashwin Varajaradan competed with middle school students across the state, and they maintained their 14th place from last year! This is an awesome accomplishment, and we are proud of their efforts!

Congratulations to our 4th/5th grade Elementary Science Olympiad team for placing 4th in the Science Olympiad Regional Competition on Saturday. Our team competed with other elementary schools in NHCS in addition to elementary schools in surrounding counties. Under the leadership of Mrs. Davis, our parents, coaches and students worked hard to prepare and have fun at the competition. Job well done!

8th Grader Eden Asher’s artwork for the NC Azalea Festival was honored at the reception at Wilmington Christian Academy last week. Her artwork was on display, and she received several gifts. Congratulations, Eden!
