Happy Friday WAAS Students!
Thank you for your quick and positive reponse to keeping the bookbags off the floor. Some of you are choosing to place your bookbags on top of the lockers. While this gets them off the floor, it does create another potential problem of the bookbags falling on someone’s head. Your first choice should still be inside your locker, if it fits. 8th graders may take their bookbags to class as an 8th grade privilege.
Today is Dress Down Friday.
Please refer to page 10 in your handbook which states, “Students have the privilege of “dress down” Friday by following the dress code each week, unless revoked from the Director.” Unless you hear from me (directly or through email) that your privilege of dress down Friday has been revoked (individually or as a group), then please know that Friday is Dress Down Friday.
In time of question, please refer to your handbook that is inside your planner.
Tonight is our Back to School Beach Bash at Carolina Beach from 5:00-8:00 pm. Parents, siblings, and you are invited to be a part of this free event. Pizza will be served instead of hotdogs, as we learned that there are no grills at the shelter.
Meet Mrs. Errante at the beach (enter from Hamlet Street) from 5:00-6:30. At 6:30, walk two blocks to the Carolina Beach Lake Park Shelter for pizza, fruit and veggies. We are hoping that the rain will hold off, and we will have it unless you hear from me otherwise. The shelter does have a cover. If you don’t want to participate at the beach for surfing and swimming, then come to the shelter at 6:30 for dinner. We hope to see you there!
This has been a great week! You are a wonderful group of students, and your motivation and giftedness are quite evident.
