Our Varsity Science Olympiad members are celebrating their First Place in the Regional SO Tournament that they participated in over the weekend. Well over the majority of the team members received First and/or Second Place in their events. We are always proud of the 47 point difference in the overall scores of First Place and Second Place. Our team will advance to the state virtual competition on April 24, 2021.
We are also proud of the many WAAS alumni who represented Hoggard and Isaac Bear in this tournament. It is always rewarding to see how well our former WAAS students are doing. Congratulations to our coaches and students!

Emma Johnson, Senior at Hoggard, has been awarded the Morehead Cain Scholarship to UNC CH and Varun Varadarajan, Junior at Isaac Bear, has been accepted to Governor’s School for the summer.
