This semester there will an field trip/extra credit opportunity for students to take advantage of! Ian Peplow’s (Class of 2018) reenactment group will be participating in the 241st Anniversary of the Battle of Moores Creek on Saturday February 25, 2017. Check out Ian’s promotional flyer attached to this email!

We plan coordinate drives from WAAS to Moores Creek to attend the festivities. Students will need to be dropped off at WAAS by 11:45 am and can be picked up back at the school at 3:00 pm. Activities at the battlefield will include reenactments, demonstrations, music, food and games. We had several students attend the reenactments last year and they had a great time!

For those students who attend 10 bonus points will be awarded that can be assigned to any second semester assignment minus the final exam.
Students who wish to attend should have their parents sign them up using the link below.

We will need parent volunteers to drive. If you are willing to drive please sign up and indicate how many students you can transport.
This is a great opportunity to learn more about local history and I hope many of you are able to attend!
